Having a few days off of work was good for multiple reasons. Normal people took that time to rest, to maybe fix up their homes. Or do anything that was considered remotely normal. Freddie, on the other hand, was using her days off to investigate Cherry Grove. The person her mother had spoken about was someone in this town. And she was determined to find him or her. But, as the day drew close to its end, Freddie made her way into the Beard and Barrel for a drink before she headed back to her apartment... That she really should have used those days of to fix up. Taking a seat at the bar, she ordered herself a beer, planning on keeping it light tonight. Just a beer, or two ... or possibly three.
[ so, I made a board on pinterest to see how many of my sets from polyvore I could find - in like ten minutes, I found 100 -- this is one of them ]

Orion, or Ri or Rion, as he sometimes went by, sat at the bar with a drink in front of him. It had been a long work day. They'd worked to put out a house fire, but sadly none of the house was really salvageable now. It was in ruins. All of the families possessions gone. He felt for them. Having everything they knew taken away. He knew how that felt in a way. Sighing, he rubbed the back of his neck before taking a long drink. He wasn't planning on leaving any time soon.
(Oh wow! I don't think I've found that many of mine.)

As she got her beer, Freddie paid the bartender and took a sip, almost immediately. She had been in town for a while, but this person hadn't come forward. It was almost as if there was no one and her mother was feeding her false information. However, that wasn't the type of woman that she was. She wouldn't have done that to her daughter. Sighing into the beer, she heard someone else sighing, making her turn her head to find the culprit. Raising her eyebrow, her eyes fell on a guy who looked very tense. Clearly he's had a rougher day, she thought to herself.
[ it's nuts lol ]

Orion felt eyes on him and he turned to see a women. Now she was a women he wouldn't mind leaving with. He smirked slightly, but didn't say anything as he turned back to his drink. He'd see if she made a move first. She looked like the type of women who liked to take things into her own hands.
(Haha!)

Freddie looked away for a moment as she took another drink of her beer. She'd only ever met two types of guys in the 'dating' world: the ones who were scared of women like her; while others lapped it up. She wondered which this guy was. Getting the bartender's attention, Freddie ordered another beer, and whatever the guy was having. She was gifted at getting the male attention, but getting it and keeping it was a whole different story.

Orion smiled and the drink before smoothly moving to the seat beside her. "Hello." He sipped the drink and watched her out of the corner of his eye. She was a beautiful woman, with those pretty blue eyes.

Freddie glanced over to the man that took the seat beside her and, for a brief moment, she felt a flutter in her stomach. But almost as instantly as it wast here, it was gone. "Hello." she replied, passing him a short but flirtatious smile.

He chuckled a bit and held out his hand to her. "I'm Orion. Do you mind if I join you here?" His eyes sparkled lightly.

Freddie glanced down at his hand and took it, shaking it. She had very graceful elegant hands, with nimble fingers, and always had to have a neat manicure. She treated her hands like they were insured for a million dollars. They were her money makers. "Freddie." she told him. "And I don't mind if you join me. So long as you buy me a drink." she said, with a slight smirk, before she took another drink.

Rion smiled and gestured for the bartender to get them another round of drinks. "Freddie, huh? I like that." He swallowed down the rest of his drink before turning his eyes on her.

A lot of people generally raised their eyebrow when she told them her name. It was a little odd, but a name like Mary wouldn't suit her. God help her if that was really her name. "Orion is pretty unique." she said to him, running her thumb around the lip of the bottle she was drinking from.

Rion shrugged a bit. "My mom was apparently a little weird." He wouldn't know, seeing as he'd never met her. "I haven't seen you in here before. Not to be cliche, but do you come here often?"

Freddie nodded her head and laughed softly. Well, she wouldn't call in weird, but if that was what he'd been told... "Oh, actually, I come in here every now and then." she said. She wasn't allowed to drink at the bar in the country club, because it was against company policy. "I'm assuming you're not in here often, if you haven't seen me in here before."

"I'm actually here pretty often," Rion laughed a bit. "Probably too often. But I typically sit in the corner." He nodded to the spot. "Though I'm usually pretty distracted, so that might be why."

"Well, I'm usually the one causing distractions." Freddie said with a sly smile. It was true. If she wore a tight enough dress, men would spill their drinks over themselves as they watched her walk by. It was both a gift, but also a curse.
