Gray was on his off from duty for the next couple of days and had decided to take some time away from the station for a bit of alone time. Quiet time. He loved his second family at work, but being among the constant chaos could drain anyone, even Gray. So, here he was in the dark back corner of the Tall, Dark, and Coffee cafe with a mug of french press coffee and a new book in his lap. He was relaxing and didn't intend to be interrupted. Until, of course, he heard the door open and looked up to see who had entered. Freddie Eloise Garroway

Receiving notice that she wasn't needed at the country club for a few days, Freddie took the opportunity to explore the town a little more. She'd been here for months, but hadn't really looked around. She was also out of leads as to who the person could be that knew who she really was. Taking a stroll into the local coffee shop, guiltily the place she always went to before work, Freddie opened the door, the little bell ringing as she did so. She was dressed quite casually, no dresses, and it was immediately commented on. She laughed at the barista and ordered her a coffee. As she contemplated sitting it, she tapped her fingers on the counter, playing a rhythm in her head. 'Love's Sorrow.' The song had been stuck in her head and she couldn't place where she'd heard it.

(Haha!! It really does 😂)
Gray, who had watched the women step into the shop, couldn't help but find her attractive. He was a man and he knew a good looking woman when he saw one. He was sure she'd smell of a unique perfume that would probably make him want to linger for a moment, but to not seem like a creeper would immediatley pull out of her reach. He heard the tap of her fingers and gave a sideways smile as he hummed the lyrics to the song she tapped. His eyes returning to the page of his book.

Freddie heard someone humming the song she had playing, constantly, in her head. She turned to see if she could somehow spot the person making the noise. It was rather quiet in the coffee shop, there were three other people, one of them sat by himself. The other two were talking between them. Without waiting for her coffee, she walked over to the guy's table. "That song, you know what it is?" she asked, her eyes wide and a little frightening. She was desperate to know why she knew that song. She'd played it during her years at university, but she felt like she knew it before, like someone had taught it to her.
(so, love's sorrow is a piano concerto cx but if possible, can a run a plot by you regarding these two and the mystery person who 'knows' who she is?)

Gray glanced up and smiled a bit and nodded "Yeah, I uh heard it in my music appreciation class years ago" he bit his lower lip "I didn't meant to disturb you."

(I'll send you a message, cause after typing it out, it's hella long and I don't want to disrupt the flow of the thread lol)
Freddie smiled as apologized. "It's fine." she said, shaking her head. "I always have it stuck in my head." she told him, hearing her name being called by the barista. Her drink was ready. "Sorry for interrupting your reading." she apologized, considering asking of she could join him. But he didn't know her, he'd probably say no.

Gray smiled polietly and gave a small nod, knowing well she probably would want to be left alone. That was typically the reason to come to this cafe. Dark and secluded. Away from the world.

Freddie took her drink and sat at a table three or so away from his. She didn't have a paper or a book, so she took out her phone and did what she usually did in her spare time. She looked up sheet music online to prepare some new songs from work. But every so often, she'd raise her eyes and glance over. Music appreciation..? In school. Maybe that was how she knew it, she'd been taught it in school.

Gray soon finished his first cup of coffee, the buzz tingling the back of his head. He stood to get himself a refill of decaf, knowing anymore caffeine and hed be up for days. As he did he peered in the glass case of chocolates and sweets, biting his lip before ordering a bag of dark chocolate bark pieces.

Freddie watched, discreetly, as the very attractive guy got up from his table, and as soon as his back was facing her, her eyes traveled down his back to his butt. Finding herself a little distracted, she bit the edge of her lip and stared. She wasn't a shy woman, but she knew how monumentally pissed she got at men who ogled her. So, she forced herself to look away. But mentally, she'd snapped a picture and knew she'd be biting her lip for hours to come.

Gray paid and turned from the counter, placing a broken off piece if thin dark chocolate bark on his tongue and let it met. He smiled at the woman again and moved forward "Here, try one" he offered her the bag "I'd say it's the best chocolate you'll ever have."

Freddie pursed her lips slightly, her eyes widening, slightly shocked. However, she covered it up by smiling at him. "What makes it the best?" she questioned him, looking at the bag of chocolate and then up at him, her eyebrow raised.

"If I told you that then I highly doubt you would care for it, because I'm pretty sure whatever it is can't be healthy" he grinned that white charming smile.

Freddie examined the bag of chocolate for a brief moment before she reached in and took one. "All the things that aren't good for you are generally the best." she said, smiling her own award winning smile as she placed the piece of chocolate on her tongue. She wasn't usually a big chocolate fan, however, she didn't think it tasted bad. She nodded approvingly, covering her mouth as she swallowed it.
