It had been a long week for Lena. School was being a pain and she swore the guys of Nameless were driving her crazy. She had been trying to earn her way into more meetings, but it seemed that no one took her seriously except her best friends. She stopped walking when she got to the rivers edge, pulling her sketch pad out of her purse and started doodling, trying to get her mind off of school and life. Gabriel Bentley Sawyer

Gabe decided to take a load off from..well, everything. He was skipping loacross practice at this point in the day and it felt even better as he sat down on a boulder on the rivers edge and withdrew as small altoids tin from his pocket. Inside were a few freshly rolled joints, took one out and lit it. Taking a small drag he glanced around when he heard a small sound. Was someone else here?

Lena had heard the tree branch snap behind her, and her anxiety shot up almost immediately. Someone was out there with her, someone that shouldn't be. She grabbed her switch blade out of her boot and set her sketch pad on her backpack before slowly rising, making sure not to make any noise. She saw a man, someone who had about a foot on her, but he didn't look to buff either. Using surprise to her advantage, She managed to attempt to grab him and throw up against the tree, knife blade up.

Gabe's eyes grew to the size of saucers as he saw the gleam of the knife, the very real and probably very sharp knife. "Woah!" he yelped as he slammed himself against the trunk of an oak, trying to keep himself as far from her blade as possible. "Easy, easy, easy..." he tried to reason, but could you really reason with someone holding a knife like that? Girl or not.

It took Lena only a split second to realize that it was no attacker in the woods, only some asshole that went to the same school she did. She rolled her eyes and closed the knife, putting it back into her shoe.
"Jesus, Sawyer. What the hell are you doing out here in the middle of no where" she asked, crossing her arms, backing up to give him more space.

Scowling, Gabriel inched away from the tree "First, don't call me Sawyer, and second it's none of your business what I do with my time in the woods" he said, stepping on the joint he'd dropped.

Lena rolled her eyes, fixing her pink hair and starting back toward the river bank. She wasn't done with her drawing. "First, I don't know you enough to call you Gabriel, and second, I've just never seen anyone down here" she said with a sigh, plopping back down in her spot where her jacket laid.

With a roll of his eyes he took out a new joint and lit it with a quick flick "Right, because you don't come out here to party with your loser friends?" He asked, rolling his eyes.

It took Lena all of her motivation to not pull the knife back out, but she held herself back and just resorted to rolling her eyes. "No because your loser friends are the reason most of us avoid being out here. Plus it seemed to be pretty much abandoned today." she said, not even looking at him behind her, grabbing her sketch pad and continuing the project she was working on.

Gabe smirked, being who he was, and quickly lurched forward. He grabbed her sketch pad and held it away from her "Wow, well look at these. No wonder your practicing" he said, although he wasn't willing to admit the sketches were actually pretty good.
