intro 24 year old Kate doesn't have much time for socializing because she's always working. But she does meet a lot of people by working as a bartender at The Bearded Barrel and waitressing at Seafront Brewers. She isn't searching for love, but that doesn't mean love won't find her. |

Alright, so I can kind of see Aidan and Adalyn extending her a hand. Despite their situations being wildly different, they both lost someone recently in a horrific way, the Griffins are still recovering from that. Aidan is definitely the type of man who can't help but want to help a young woman, without implying anything other than friendship. He's a father and he knows how tough it is to raise one child, he couldn't imagine how difficult it is for Kate with two. The eldest of the two would be a little older than Adalyn and her youngest is only two years younger, so the three are close in age. The Griffins and the Harvards could sort of mesh together to kind of make a support network for both of them. I can't imagine Aidan being on the ball when it comes to sensitive things for Adalyn - such as periods, bras and boys. So, they sort of provide each other with help - Aidan keeps an eye on her brother, while Kate kind of acts in a big sister role for Adalyn?

Freddie is just a little bit older than Kate, and obviously their personalities are very different. Freddie has her own ghost stories in her past, but she keeps them all under wraps, to make sure no one can use them against her. I sort of want her to make a female friend, someone she confides in after finding out she's pregnant. She was damaged a lot while in foster care and it's forced her to not want to bring a child into the world. I don't know if these two would maybe be 'girlfriends', because Freddie isn't the girlfriend type of girl, she's more of a man than a woman, at times. But I think it would be good for her to have a female friend.

The only other character around her age I have is Emerson, the art mogul who inherited all of his parents money. He isn't looking for love, but I do see him hooking up a few times and as I said, drinking very heavily to numb the pain of his diagnosis. So, like she works at the local bar, he'd probably be in there often after the diagnosis, and she can maybe cut him off and he gets himself into bother or something along those lines? Just a vague kind of plot
