Aidan was, by no means, on the wealthier end of the Cherry Grove money spectrum, however, he was on the thrifty end of it. He knew how to manage his money, so that he not only had enough to keep his business afloat, but also had enough to treat himself and his daughter, every once in a while. However, he wasn't really out for something that was considered a treat. He needed his hair trimmed, because as Adalyn had told him, it was unsightly long and starting to make him look like a homeless man. So, he'd booked himself an appointment at the salon to get it cut. If he'd had the choice, he'd have had Adalyn do it, but she told him, flat out, I'm not a barber and I refuse to be held responsible for whatever mess you'll somehow find in it. He'd no doubt be unhappy with it, as he always was, and complain for days. Sat in a chair in front of a mirror, Aidan had never felt more like a woman in his entire life. With the bib thing around his neck and all of the hair products scattered across the little shelf in front of him, he waited patiently, but uncomfortably, for his curls to be cut. Samuel stepped into the barber shop, which was the only place he trusted for the best shave and cut he could get. He walked forward and sat down in his usual seat, which happened to be next to another man. He looked slightly familiar but not entirely. He looked awfully nervous. Smirking crookedly he said "It doesn't hurt, you know that right?"

Aidan turned to the voice and laughed, nervously. "I'm basically a woman, you see." Aidan joked, making sure to keep his voice down. He didn't want any women to hear his slightly sexist joke. "I've grown an attachment to my hair." he said, nodding his head.

Samuel chuckled and nodded with a slight smirk "I see, but I mean come on, those sexy curls" he said with a laugh "So why get it cut. Wait, let me guess, your girl told you to?" he smirked "Don't tell me you're whipped. It seems every guy is these days."

"Well, my girl is very hard to argue with." Aidan said with a joking laugh. "See, she's fifteen and doesn't want her Da looking like he lives on the street." he told the other man. And she thought it was bad for business. He apparently didn't look professional enough. But Aidan felt like his looks, no matter if they were untamed or sleek, had nothing to do with keeping their business afloat. He knew what he was doing. "So, whipped I am."

Samuel smirked "Touche," he said as his barber came over and began to trim his hair a bit, making it sleek rather than shaggy "I can't say that I have that same experience."

Aidan had lived in Cherry Grove long enough to spot one of the upper-class when he saw one. And the man in the chair beside him was definitely upper-class. He just oozed with the ink that was printed onto money. How nice it would be to be one of them? "It's an experience that you won't know unless you live it." he told him, nodding his head and looking behind him. There was a woman talking away to another, with a pair of clippers in her hands. He wondered if she was meant to be doing his hair.

[do you want stella to do his hair?]
Samuel raised an eyebrow and glanced over at him "You know, I kind of get the feeling I'm not making the best impression right now, which I really did think to be impossible."

(if you'd like!)
Aidan glanced over at the guy and furrowed his eyebrows. "Quite honestly, you're fine." he told him. "It's just, around here, people with money carry themselves differently than those who don't have money." he said. He wasn't trying to be rude, he was being open. "You seem like a nice guy, you just obviously have money." More money than he'd ever have, no doubt.

[ lol I just wasn't sure if what you meant was referring to her haha ]
Samuel raised an eyebrow and nodded slowly "If I'm being honest, I didn't think of that when I saw you" he shrugged, leaning his head down for the hot towel to be placed on the back of his neck, calming the freshly trimmed roots.

Aidan raised his eyebrows as he spoke to him, nodding his head. "I'm Aidan." he decided to introduce himself. "Please do ignore the ignore the fact that I was channeling my penny pinching and very judgmental father there." he said with a small laugh.
(I completely forgot that she worked in a salon cx)

Samuel had to smirk slightly and nodded, glancing over at him "No problem" he said with a slight shrug "I know Cherry Grove is typically seen as just the richy rich place with richy rich snobs."

Typically seen? Aidan had lived there for a total of six years and he'd met quite a lot of people who were richy rich. "It's a nice town." he said, with a nod of his head. "We love it here, but there's a country club in town." A country club, to Aidan, meant the town and most of its attractions were aimed at those with more money than sense.
