Tuning his guitar, yet again, Nate sat next to a small makeshift table. He'd been looking for opportunity after opportunity, and when he heard about the bonfire by the lake, he kind of got excited. His mother had had a word with the organizers, asking if they were going to have live music, but they said they had music all planned. Nate had desperately wanted to play, even just a song, but he wasn't sure he'd get to. Just have to wait until open mic night, he reminded himself, plucking a string and smiling, happy with how it sounded.

Adalyn tapped her foot to the song that was playing over speakers, unsure why she'd chosen to come. But she'd made a deal with her dad that she'd go, so long as he stopped chasing away every teenage boy that came into the shop. She knew he wouldn't, but either way, he'd at least stop for a little while. Sipping on a bottle of something fizzy, but non-alcoholic, Ada sort of zoned out. She wasn't really paying much attention. Just listening to the music.

Freddie, with the evening off of work, because everyone was apparently attending this bonfire thing, made her way to the lake to see what was going on. Where would be the perfect place to find someone who may know something about an entire family disappearing? An event where almost everyone in town would be! So, she was attending. And she'd heard there would be alcohol, so she was going to see what she could score for free.

As Reign made her way through the crowd, having left her bike against a tree in the far back away from anyone who might think it would be fun to ride it into the lake. She wouldn't past drunk Cherry Grove boys. She heard the pluck of a stream and a smile graced her lip. Reign's eyes followed the sound and she ventured towards it. "Why are you playing all the way over here?" she asked curiously, standing next to the table, leaning against it as she admired his guitar.

Nate lifted his head as someone spoke to him. He looked toward the area where the music was being played and kind of frowned. "They're not using local live music." he told the girl, before he realized... She was a very pretty girl. "My friends and I kind of hoped we'd get to play, but not this year." he sighed, having to physically tear his eyes away from her. Pretty blonde hair, pretty eyes that looked kind of hazel or green. "Maybe next year?" Nate smiled at her, trying to be friendly. But he hadn't spoken to any pretty girls in a while. Which was his own fault, but still, it had been some time.

Kate stood near the fire, eyes her brothers with an intense gaze. "If I see either of you anywhere near the alcohol I will kick you into next year and you'll be grounded until you're thirty." She watxhed them both run off before she sighed and ran a hand through her hair. She hoped this was worth the night off she was taking.

Orion tossed another log into the fire, watching it carefully. He didn't want this thing getting out of hand and burning down half the town. He sipped from his bottle of beer as he turned his gaze to the people milling about and enjoying themselves.

Noah stood awkwardly with a group of his friends as they laughed about something they apparently found hilarious. He sighed, taking a few steps away from them as he inspected a spot on his sneakers.

"Well that isn't very fair," she said making a face, scrunching up her nose and looking over at the area where they were setting up for music. She looked back at him and smile "Maybe you can play right here then?" she asked "By request of course. I'll be your audience" she offered with excitement as she sat at the table "I'd love to hear." parker

Gray arched an eyebrow in the direction of a familiar voice and couldn't help but smirk "Hm, a little overprotective, are we?" he asked. dawn

Kate turned her head when she heard a familiar voice and she smiled. "Hm? Of course I am. If I had my way mg baby brothers wouldn't even taste alcohol until they're of age. But sadly, I also have to be realistic."

Freddie wandered toward the lake, smiling at a few people who recognized her from the club and around town. She walked around, but soon found herself walking toward the lake. She spotted someone pretty familiar and, immediately, she bit her lip. It made a lot of sense to her that there were firefighters around the bonfire. "Hey, just wondering, is it safe to drink around an open fire?" she called out, walking toward Orion with a cheeky smile on her face.

Adalyn tried to keep herself to herself, but obviously, a few people from school were trying to get her attention, to just mess with her. She hated high school for a reason, the guys were idiots. "Screw you." she mumbled, trying to push by the boys. "Just leave me alone."

Nate smiled up at the girl and tapped the body of his guitar. "Okay." He wasn't usually that nervous about performing in public. He wanted to be a musician, he wanted to perform. "What would you like to hear?" he asked.

Reign smiled broadly as she thought for a moment "Do you have any you've written?" She asked "I'm always open to new sounds" she said with a nod, eager to hear something new.

Gray chuckled and nodded "Hm. It's always tricky. Every kid is different" he said in agreement "I take it they aren't a walk in a park to deal with?"

Kate watched the youngest, Charlie, laughing with his friends. "They're good boys. I'm just not always enough for them. They crave male attention and guidance. I can't give them that."

parker
Orion looked over and smirked. "Well, there's always a chance you could catch fire. But you're already on fire, so I don't think you have to worry." He then gave her a cheesy grin.

Noah caught sight of Adalyn, a girl he knew from school. He frowned when he saw some of his classmates giving her problems. He walked over. "Guys, leave her alone. She's clearly not interested."

Nate smiled at the girl and bit his lip ring, shifting it between his teeth. "I have a lot." he told her, strumming a couple of chords. He had written a bunch of songs, because he had a lot of time on his hands. He began playing a song he'd written when he was 'away on vacation', the summer before. "For a while we pretended that we never had to it, but we knew we'd have to say goodbye." he sang.

Freddie let out a laugh as she took the compliment elegantly. "I'm not the only one." she responded, laughing again as she walked over to him. "How are you?" she asked. She hadn't seen him since... Well, since she left the bar with him.

Adalyn looked up as someone spoke up for her, watching the boys walk away, like they suddenly lost interest. "You didn't have to do that." she said to him, a hint of her Irish accent lingering slightly.

Listening intently, her focus was trained on him, hanging onto his every word as she painted a picture in her head. He was very good and she couldn't help but to hum along with him.

Gray nodded "Boys need a male figure in their life, whether some people want to admit that or not" he said "Someone to...show them how much is too much."

Kate nodded and sighed a little. "Yeah. I just really don't know what to do. I've been out of my depth for awhile now." She then put a smile on her face and looked up at him. "How are you, Gray?"

Orion shrugged a little. "I'm alright. Could be worse. And how are you? How's work?" He took a sip of his drink, glancing at the fire.

Noah shook his head a little. "Its okay. They were being idiots. Like usual." He offered her a small smile.

Nate continued singing, enjoying the feeling of performing and having someone listen to him. Especially it being a pretty girl.

Freddie shrugged her shoulder, like he had. "I'm good." she told him. "I've had a few days off of work, so I've been having a little bit of fun." she smiled.

Adalyn smiled at him, slightly. Noah was really nice, she'd seen him a few times around school. "Thanks." she said to him, tucking her hair behind her ear.

Alex retrieved his phone when it buzzed, he looked at the screen and an instant smile appeared on his lips when he saw it was Stella. He read the text and replied he would love to go and he would be there in twenty minutes. He quickly got dressed in a casual yet cool oufit (https://tinyurl.com/y8mvpczf), and made a picnic for them before leaving his home.

When he arrived, he wandered around the area but he didn't have to search as Stella definitely stood out from the crowd, he was practically gaping at her until he took a deep breath and walked towards her with a grin. Why did she have to look effortlessly beautiful? "Wow, you look amazing." He blurted out. Administrator

Gray raised both eyebrows surprised by her sudden change in attitude and subject. With a light chuckle, he nodded his head and gave a small smile "I'm perfectly fine..." he answered, "How about you?"

Reign grinned, listening happily to the music and wondered if he wrote his own music often or if this was one of his only pieces. "I think you should be able to play in front of everyone. You're amazing."

Glancing over her shoulder, Stella couldn't hold back the grin that touched her lips "Hey!" she exclaimed with excitement and then smiled shaking her head "Well thank you, and you look like you won't be swimming tonight" she said, raising an eyebrow.
